Drop Water

Drop Water build water stations/kiosks that serve custom drinks in a healthy and sustainable way. The company approached me seeking a new and updated design and user experience for their 27 inch display. I've worked on the hardware user interface, as well as a web app for contactless ordering during the pandemic. As the projects have developed for different platforms I've started building the frame work for their own design system.

Outlinx App

Outlinx is a mobile application that allows users to create their own personal QR codes. For this freelance project I worked directly with the founder of the app to turn his idea into a mobile application.

GoPro Hero 7 White

GoPro finally built a simple camera for the novice user. I was part of the hardware UX team that redesigned the full user experience of a GoPro camera to make it as simple as possible.

GoPro Karma

GoPro created their first ever drone. I was part of the hardware UX team which designed the whole user experience. The drone was designed for all users from novice to pro and we had the challenge of designing for all.

Nio Icon Library

Self driving car company, Nio were in need of a consistent icon library to use throughout their designs. I created an icon set consisting of 128 stroked icons and 128 glyph icons, along with a style guide.

50 Logos in 50 Days

This was a fun one. I challenged myself to create 50 logos in 50 days. I would spend only 30 minutes a day on each design and compiled them into a quick highlight video.

About

Hello.

I am Lou, a product designer currently based in Reno, NV. Born and raised in a small town in northwest England, I relocated to San Francisco, CA in 2011 to fulfill my dreams of pursuing design and playing soccer. During my time in San Francisco, I attended the Academy of Art University, where I earned my degree in Web Design and New Media while also playing college soccer on an athletic scholarship.

I'm currently combining my love for fitness and design at lululemon Studio (previously known as Mirror). I've worked in-house at GoPro and lululemon Studio, and I've collaborated with start ups and inventors to turn their early ideas into fully shippable products. I've traveled the world, immersing myself in culture and nature, channeling my creative energy through photography and videography.

In my free time you can find me exploring the great outdoors, working out, and rooting for Liverpool Football Club. I'm feeling more inspired than ever to create and I'm always interested in learning about new projects and opportunities - Let's make cool stuff!
